The "A++ Symphron" Behind-The-Ear (BTE) is a Virtual Technician compatible instrument and is a 100% digital hearing aid that is a programmable hearing aid that automatically adjusts in various environments. These hearing aids are built and programmed for you at our lab, however you may also make adjustments to them at home on your own computer. If desired, an appointment can be made with one of our technicians who can assist you with your adjustments right over the internet. You won't feel like your wearing a hearing aid at all because of the small size and advanced design. Hearing Aids consist of three main components – microphone(s) to receive sound, a Digital Signal Processor (amplifier) to process the sound and a speaker (receiver) to deliver the sound to the listener. Once assembled, an operating system is installed on the Digital Signal Processor bringing the hearing instrument to life. The finished hearing instrument is then programmed to meet the specific hearing needs of the user at the time of purchase. The operating system and the fitting application enable adjustment of hearing instruments over time as the listeners needs and preferences change. Please be sure to give yourself time to adjust to the new sounds.
