The "A+ RIC Open Fit BTE" is a Virtual Technician compatible instrument and is a 100% digital hearing aid that is a programmable hearing aid that automatically adjust in various types of environments. The A+ RIC is a comfortable and nearly invisible Open-Ear type hearing instrument with a small case and nearly invisible tubes and sound tips. The A+ RIC is designed to naturally "blend-in" with your hair and skin tones. This instrument is designed with the receiver (speaker) inside of the ear and will widen the fitting range as well as provide greater gain capabilities in the higher frequencies and thereby reduce the possibility of higher frequency feedback. This is determined on a case by case basis.
"A+ RIC Open Fit BTE" is designed for listeners needing assistance with high frequency hearing where approximately 60% of the sounds needed to understand speech are occurring. With the use of a custom earpiece, the A+ RIC’s fitting range can be extended even further, but is especially effective in the lower frequencies for those needing assistance with hearing lower frequencies and a more predominant hearing loss.
You won't feel like your wearing a hearing aid at all because of the micro size and advanced open fit design. Instead of using a conventional earmold which closes the ear canal completely, the A+ RIC Open Fit BTE" is used with a comfortable soft open sound tip. This new acoustic design reduces the occlusion effect, that echo or plugged-up feeling. Also, our soft open sound tips allow for more sound from the wearers own voice to escape out of the ear canal so you won't "hear your own voice". These Virtual Technician compatible instruments and are 100% digital hearing aids and are fully programmable hearing aids that self-adjust.
Hearing instruments consist of three main components – microphone(s) to receive sound, a Digital Signal Processor (amplifier) to process the sound and a speaker (receiver) to deliver the sound to the listener. Once assembled, an operating system is installed on the Digital Signal Processor bringing the hearing instrument to life. The finished hearing instrument can then be programmed (fit) to meet the specific hearing needs of the user at the time of purchase. The operating system and the fitting application enable adjustment of hearing instruments over time as listener needs and preferences change.
