Tube Measurement Guide


To ensure a comfortable and secure hearing aid fit, the proper
length tube must be selected.

The step-by-step instructions for measuring your ear are available on this webpage, as well as in the downloadable guide

Our Open Fit hearing aid thin tubes use a number scale from zero (0B), the shortest, to three (3B), the longest (often referred to as small. medium, large and extra large)

Open Fit RIC tube receiver link above. The receiver link size number is located on the bottom side of the casing.


Step 1. Print out the OpenEar Measuring Tools at 100% scale

Step 2. Cut out the Open Fit tube measuring tools

Step 3. Place the OpenEar measurment tool over the ear. The red measurement tool is for the right ear and the blue measurement tool is for the left ear.  Have another person look and see the number closest to the top of the ear canal opening. This number is the size of the OpenEar thin tube you will need.

In this picture of the left ear the numeral "1" is the closest number to the top of the opening of the ear canal. A thin tube #1B would be the correct size tubing for this fitting.
