I want to express my satisfaction with my hearing aids, your support, and your website. I am reasonably computer capable and by exploring all the options of the program, I have arrived at a level of comfort with the aids that has not been attainable in my 20+ years of hearing aid use. The program does need some tweaking, as do most, and my wife accuses me of being worse than a kid playing computer games! She was embarrassed when I sat in a resturaunt with my lap-top, and fine-tuned my directional mic, but I made great adjustments. Thanks again, Doug.

I just wanted to thank everyone at D.I.Y. Hearing Aids for all your help and support that has improved my life immeasurably. I lost a good deal of my hearing in the early 90's due to severe head injuries following a motor cycle accident. The high frequencies suffered most and over the years I truly forgot what I was missing. Who needs to hear the turn signal indicators anyway right?
Well, my ability to effectively communicate with anymore than one person at a time was frustrating and even talking one on one with back ground noise was very hard, and it was this reason alone (presented by a new job) that prompted my latest hearing test and the decision to get hearing aids. Not satisfied with the price I was quoted, I looked else where and found D.I.Y. Hearing Aids and after speaking with Robb the rest is now history. I could not be happier. It took no time to adjust to the new BTE aids. I was surprise at first that 'nothing' appeared louder, but I soon began hearing things I had not heard before. Picking up my car keys for the first time brought a jingle to my ears I had never before heard. I smile each time still.
I should have done this years ago and had I known about D.I.Y. Hearing Aids, I know I would have.

I recently purchased my hearing aids from DIY. One of the reasons I did was because I would be able to adjust them myself. So far I haven't had a need to do so. It has made quite a change for me, I turn my TV volume down now, I don't have to have it so loud to understand all the words. My son says he noticed that I don't take the time to "process" the words when he talks to me, that I answer right away. I can now hear the alarm on my watch without having to have it close to my face. I hear the sound my signal lights make on my car, people riding in my car used to tell me "your signal light is on". I can go on with other examples, but I believe you get the point. The behind the ear Open Fit aids let me feel that I am not dependent on the aids "feeding" me the sounds, it sounds more natural to me. Being able to use the programs on it is a nice feature also. The service and input from DIY made me feel confident about my hearing aids, I believe they will be there to help me when needed. Thanks.

I've been wearing the new devices since Saturday. They fit fine. What a huge difference - I had them on for 15 minutes and new I had made a good decision. Night & day with the hearing. Just today I knocked on my boss's door and actually heard her say "come in" - usually the recptionist has to tell me because I've never heard her through the door before. I sat through a group meeting yesterday and heard everyone - usually I can hear about one third of the people. I am happy - have not had to adjust anything except turn the volume way down at the movies and when listening to my car stereo.

Just wanted to report the hearing aids are great, best I ever had. I had a little trouble getting used to the programming software, but your support team at the lab took care of that. Your technician was very good. Thank you for suggesting an aid that would work just as you said. Nice workng with you. For your information my hearing loss was due to 30 years as an Airline and corporate Pilot. Too many big engines. Thanks again!

By the time I was 19 years old I was no longer able to hear high frequencies. The sounds of birds and crickets eluded me. I had blown my high frequency range by playing drums and rock and roll at a very high volume since I was 13. I was tested but there was no technology available that could help me until the 1990s and then, it was very expensive. I was also very frustrating, as a musician, to have a set of hearing aids that would work great for conversations but would not help on stage, when playing or singing.
Then at the first of this year, 2010, I discovered your BTE programmable hearing aids and they are amazing. I was able to take my lap top on stage with me and program one channel especially for loud music environments. I have two settings also set for different conversation type environments and one that I would call Super Hearing! If you ever wished you could hear what was being said across the street or two offices down, this device for you.
As a musician of over 50 years, I rarely would be able to sing because I could not hear my own voice without amplification however now on my music setting, it is like I have my own personal monitors in my ears and I can now sing without a sound system at all.

I got the new hearing aids this morning via fedex. I really like the info. notebook. It presents the pertinent info in an easy and fast way to use. I had my new hearing aids inserted in just a few minutes and all I can say is Wow! I had no idea how much I was missing. They fit very well and within a few minutes you don't even notice them being in. I will install the adjustment software in the next day or so, but so far this has been a huge improvement already. The only problem is that now I can't use the "I'm sorry honey, I never heard you say that" excuse.

I bought Siemens aids over 10 years ago and they did fine, but hated the price even back then. They had gotten pretty worn out so it was time to replace them when I found DiY Hearing just searching on the internet. I am an engineer by trade and like to be able to have control on my projects, and these new programmable type aids are great! Sound quality is much better than the old Siemens, and very comfortable. Never had to leave home to buy them either except for a new test. I love it!

I have worn hearing aids for years, most recently Beltone's. I recently started wearing the FreeStyle Open Fit hearing aid. Wow, what a difference! I hear clearly, without all the background noise. The sound is so natural many times I forget that I have a hearing aid on at all. Resturants used to be almost off limits to my wife and I. Now we enjoy eating out with our friends again.
Although not the most important thing, I am retired and I appreciate the affordable pricing also.

The truth of the matter is that if I had the money I would not have even looked on the internet for hearing aids. But I didn't. I received my new hearing aids from you about 30 days ago. The software was a little daunting at first. The programming coach I had did a great job with me, very patient (I can be a little hard headed at times). I thank you for your product, my wife thanks you for your product, it has changed my life for the better.

I've used hearing aids for about 20 years. It got to the place where I left them in their case at least 90% of the time. Whenever I would go somewhere special I would put them in, but after a short time I would take them out agian. They not only amplified what I was trying to hear, but all the brackground noise as well. I also had the feeling of being plugged up all the time. I couldn't ride in a car with the window down because all I could hear was wind and road noise and nothing else.
With my new aids, I can hear alot better. I can now carry on a normal converstion with someone in a noisy area without all the background noise. I can ride in a car with the window down and hear the radio or carry on a conversation. I don't feel like I'm plugged up, I feel normal! Most of the time I forget that I have them in. These are the most comfortable hearing aids I have ever worn or even tried. My hearing has improved dramatically. I wear glasses and chose the over the ear type hearing aids with the open tips and have no problems wearing both together (Glasses & Hearing Aids). I just put them in in the morning and take them out at bed time. These aids are so comfortable I almost got into the shower with them.
I know these aids are more expensive than other types, and less expensive than others, but I wouldn't sell mine for any price.
As far as DiY is concerned, you seem to be extremely dedicated to help make any adjustments necessary to fit my lifestyle. You have been easy to work with and dedicated to my complete satisfaction. I will do business with you again.
